After making a career best in the Argentinian National Giant Slalom, Nick Moynihan continued his excellent form with another solid points score in Cerro Castor, Ushuiua, Argentina. With the race containing many World Cup racers Moynihan used his early start number to great advantage to score his second best points score in Slalom of both his career and this summer. Moynihan is definitely ending the summer training block in great form. ...
After the race, won by German technical specialist Fritz Dopfer, Moynihan explained to Racer Ready that "it has been a great set of races," referring to this result and the Giant Slalom race the previous day. Moynihan placed 11th this time around with a great first run that saw him within a second of the leaders before losing a time on the second run.
With one race to go before Moynihan returns to the UK and then looks to combine his racing with studying for a degree at Bath University, the longer he can stay in the ski racing game, the better for British Skiing. With this result of 23.83, this was just shy of his 23.70 that he scored last month and will improve his current FIS points of 29.12 (World Ranking of 440).
Getting better never stops!
