Daniels and Holmes set the mark in the Opening Children's Super G in Bormio

Established talents on the Childrens racing scene, Daisi Daniels of the British Ski Academy and Robert Holmes of Team Evolution posted the fastest times to win the Girls and Boys opening Super G races of the 2018 English Alpine Championships. Sophie Foster took second ahead of two rising talents, Isla ward and her sister Erin Ward with Eleanor Scranage Harrison rounding out the top five in the Girls race.

Jack Cunningham took second in the boys race with Louis de Pourtales taking third. Joseph Christey and Callum Ross rounded out the top five in the Boys race overall.

Daniels was a quarter of a second ahead of Foster with Scranage Harrson taking third in the Under 16 age group. With both the Under 16 and Under 14 age groups all mixed up in the start list, Erin Ward came down from bib 66 to take fourth place and second place in the younger age group, less than a quarter of a second behind Isla Ward and from the win in her first Super G! Ailsa Hay took third place in the younger age group.

Max Laughland took the race win in the Under 14 Boys race, two hundredths ahead of Lucas Ellis with Luca Carrick Smith eleven hundredths off the pace in third.

A second Super G is scheduled for Monday ....
