The third leg of the January Tour around Europe saw the Under 16, Under 14 and Under 12 / 10 age groups all race in Leogang for the inaugural Atomic sponsored Ambition Championships. Leogang is home to Ambition and with Evolution, Elite and other training groups all on the Austrian side of the Alps, it makes sense to have a set of races on this side of the alps as well. While a few of the racers, including the likes of Siena Horton, had been at the BSA Anglo-Scottish races earlier in January, the British Ski Academy also sent across some of their best racers to race.
Siena Horton took the spoils in the Under 14 girls race ahead of Anna Caldwell who was just in front of Sophie Foster with Lily Martin in fourth. The Ambition races also attracted some International interest from both Holland and Australia for added spice to the races. Eleanor Scrannage-Harrison recovered from crashing out of the first run to win the second race
Max Pini and Toby Case made it an Ambition one, two in the Under 14 boys race with Alpine Training Camp's Calum Langmuir in third overall. Niels van Winden from Holland took fourth place in a competitive field with Jack Cunningham and Seamus O'Brien taking fifth and sixth for Evolution. Pini won the first race while Case took the spoils in the second race.
Charlotte Tapsell managed to overcome the lead that Olivia Ward had created on the first run, to win the Under 16 Girls race, eight-hundredths separated the two racers after the two runs. Abi Bruce posted the second fastest second run time to haul herself up to third overall to be just ahead of Olivia Foster, all three coming from Ambition with Tapsell racing for Evolution. Lois Jackson rounded out the top five finishers.
Matthew Higinbotham took a convincing win in the Under 16 Boys race with the fastest time on both runs. Tom Hudson made it a BSA one, two with second place as he held off Evolution's Dexter Lee on both runs. Harry Deighton and Charlie Leach rounded out the top five.
Both Matilda O'Brien and Lauren Bloom posted faster times on their second runs in the Under 12 girls race though O'Brien took the spoils. Lucas Ellis took the top spot in the Under 12 Boys race ahead of Jack Upton with Kacper Walczuk in third.
