Lara Gut made sure that she ended 2015 with the Giant Slalom and Overall leadership of the Women's Alpine World Cup with victory in the Lienz Women's Giant Slalom. This was win number 16 for the Swiss racer, her second Giant Slalom win of the season and fourth in all disciplines. After an incredibly tight first run that saw the first three racers separated by a mere six-hundredths of a second, Gut put the hammer down to win by twelve-hundredths from Tina Weirather with Viktoria Rebensburg jumping from fifth to third.
