Erika Heginbotham proved to be the class of the field in the Girls Super G races in Bormio with victory in both races as the British Ski Academy racers dominated the ... results in the girls races. Heginbotham won both races by almost three quarters of a second as she mastered the soft snow conditions and the changing light better than her competition. Megan Jenkins (BSA) took third in the first race and then sixth in the second race.
Anna Henderson (Ambition) took second in the second race after failing to finish the first race while Francesca Lee improved from sixth in the first race to post the third fastest time on the second race just ahead of Anderson with Yasmin Cooper (BSA) 14 hundredths behind in a closely fought race. The BSA had four of the first seven finishers in both races.
On the first run there was a tremendous performance by Australian Zali Offord as she started 61 and came in 5th! It just goes to show that if you listen to your coach, results are possible even from the back of the field.
