David Ryding produced another solid run to move up to seventeenth and a career best World Cup placing after the second run of the World Cup Slalom in Are, Sweden. Ryding used all his guile and strength to attack the second run and despite keeping the lead at the first split, the Rocket came into the finish in fifth before succumbing to the faster racers from the first run. 17th is still a career best and something he should be proud of as he takes his second World Cup points scoring result of his career. Marcel Hirscher won his second race of the visit to Are with first run leader Felix Neureuther dropping to second, a tenth behind him. Russian Alexander Khoroshilov took the first podium of his career to take third, 33 years after the last Russian to podium. ...
