German speed skier, Tobias Stechert, who was injured in the first race from Beaver Creek will undergo an operation in Munich on 3 December, the German Ski Federation have announced. The 27 year old inured his left knee in the Downhill from Beaver Creek. He was diagnosed with problems to his Fibula in the clinic in Vail.
Stechert still hopes to be fit for the World Championships in Schladming in February.
