Lois Jackson takes National Junior Downhill title In Tignes

Lois Jackson produced a strong performance to win her first National Junior Downhill Title with victory in Tignes. Jackson finished fourth overall but this was strong enough to be ahead of the rest of the British Juniors. Charlotte Holmes took second place with Daisi Daniels in third. The race was won by Andorra's Jordina Caminal Santure with Italy's Martine Brumin, both juniors taking the top spots in the race ahead of Jess Anderson.

Jackson was last of the seeded racers to race, bib 9, yet did not let that faze her. Solid through the technically demanding section after the Rossignol jump, she set herself up nicely off the jump and then kept her speed going to edge out Charlotte Holmes who had started bib 2.

Daniels has been getting more and more used to the Downhill skis with each training and race run. On this, the fourth run over two days, all the pointers and advice started to synchronise as despite starting last, she attacked as was rewarded with a podium place. Giselle Gorringe and Lucy Jackman rounded out the top five British female Juniors.
