It has been three years since the British Championships took place and the racing again takes place in Tignes, France. Historically the racing kicks off with the speed events and it is a double Super G that starts off the racing followed by the Downhill races before the technical races take centre stage and then the children before the races finish on April 8.
Jess Anderson and Owen Vinter are the top two seeds from Britain in the Super G with Greta Small from Australia being the top seed in the Women's race. They are the racers the rest will be chasing.
Two healthy fields in comparison to previous years will kick out the start gate with 20 females and 42 men and you can watch the live timing through www.alpinetiming.com.
If all goes to plan, it is hoped to run the National Championship Super G first and then follow it with the National Junior Championship
Will going first be an advantage or will the computer draw even things out? The top three girls in the race go 5, Italy's Martine Brumin, then 8 and 9 with Greta Small (Australia and top seed) followed by Jess Anderson.
With no Sarah Woodward competing due to injury, Anderson will be looking to set the standard for the younger British racers including Lois Jackson (goes 3), Charlotte Holmes (10), Daisi Daniels (13) and Giselle Gorringe (15). With Lucy Jackman, Holly McKey, Amy Stokoe and Candice Bomberg all racing as well, the opportunity to get some decent Super G points is there for all.
With the men racing the same course as the women, Max Laughland is first British racer out with bib 2. Ed Guigonnet, still riding high after his fantastic achievements in the World Juniors recently goes 6, Owen Vinter goes 8 with Roy Steudle going 13 and Elliott Bennett 15.
Outside of the top 15 watch out for Tom Hudson in 21, Diaco Abrishami at 23 and then the racing gets busy for the British racers as Gregor Munro, Toby Jennings, Kieran Woolley and Ruaridh Blyth will all be looking to make a marker.
Add to the list the likes of Alexandre Clarke, Adam Radwan, Joe Grieve, Zac Metheringham, Gordon Maxwell, Finlay Perrin Johnston, Sebastian Bayles and Harvey Stanley, it is great to see so many young British racers giving the Super G a go.
It is an exciting time for British skiing: Dave Ryding has won Britain's first World Cup race, there are a whole host of exciting new names coming up through the ranks and big name companies like Redrow, Quinn Estates and Fusalp are getting involved with the sport.
The top 15 start lists are redrawn for the NJC races and all four lists are on the link below. Racing starts at 09.30 European time.
