Woodward just misses out on podium in Cardrona

Sarah Woodward continued her fine form from last season as she took a strong fourth place in the opening race of the New Zealand season, the first of two Slalom races in Cardrona. Olivia Foster was also in the mix as she placed sixth overall in a race comfortably won by American Allie Resnick ahead of New Zealand sensation Alice Robinson.

In the second race Jessica Anderson, a DNF in the first race took a positive sixth place with Foster in eleventh, Woodward crashed out on the first run.

In the men’s races the following day, Charles Rankin took the best placed honours among the British racers down in New Zealand with Ambition in taking 21st place in a race won by American World Cup slalom racer AJ Ginnis. No other British racers finished.
