With the BBC Wales cameras recording the action, Welsh racer, David Hatcher withheld the pressure of young Ollie Weeks to defend his Welsh National Title. Hatcher is the 2016 GBR Outdoor Series Champion and was the racer the rest of the field would be chasing. Ollie Weeks, a race winner in his own right this summer, was fastest on the second run but had too much to recoup to win and had to settle for second with Chris Corr taking third ahead of Craig Speed and Jonathan Bingham.
