The records show Fill won but at what cost?

The Men's Downhill in Kitzbuehel is one of the great sporting events in January. It attracts people from all over the world and is the one race that racers want to win. In Wengen, after winning the Lauberhorn Classic, Aksel Lund Svindal explained that this was the one race that he wanted to win before his career was over, "I am sorry Wengen but Kitz is the biggest race out there," he explained in the press conference. A delayed start, a changed start and then three huge crashes will have the critics of downhill rubbing their hands with glee. Peter Fill won the race, Beat Fuez took second and Carlo Janka third but that was only half the story.
