Crystal Ski raises another £55,000 for Disability Snowsport UK

Crystal Ski is passionate about working with Disability Snowsport UK (DSUK) and since summer 2009 has raised more than £170,000 for the charity. Last week at the Crystal Ski Industry Report 2013 event, Fiona Young, CEO DSUK was presented a cheque from Simon Cross for £55,000 which Crystal Ski staff raised during the last winter season.

In the last few years, nearly 100 Crystal Ski managers supported DSUK by giving a week of their time to travel to resorts and help disabled skiers and boarders experience a winter sports holiday. This is now an annual event for our colleagues to get involved with DSUK and it is so popular that there is a waiting list - that's a lot of smiles!

In addition, hundreds of UK colleagues have taken part in ski-athons, Santa runs and sky diving for DSUK. Our overseas colleagues based in over 130 resorts have also been raising money through quizzes, fun runs and ski-offs - even more smiles. This fundraising and support has enabled DSUK to continue their work promoting equality and opportunity for disabled skiers across the UK.

All of this has led to hundreds of smiles on the faces of both the disabled skiers and our colleagues.

TUI Travel of which Crystal Ski is part of, send customers on holiday all around the world and our businesses are involved in hundreds of projects that bring positive benefits to local communities and the environment. Our vision is to make travel experiences special whilst minimising environmental impact, respecting people and cultures, and bringing economic benefits to communities.

We care deeply about our impact in and on the world - and not only in the destinations to which we travel. That's why, throughout the world, TUI Travel is engaged in projects that are having a positive impact on local communities and the environment.
