The Arnold Clark Parallel Lines Race Series has become a symbol of inclusivity in UK snow sports, bringing together skiers and snowboarders of all ages and abilities in a celebration of speed, skill, and camaraderie. The most recent stop in the series was at the Castleford Snozone.
What truly sets this Race Series apart is its commitment to inclusivity. The collaboration of Snowsport Scotland, Snowsport England and sponsorship by Arnold Clarke have made concerted efforts to ensure that competitive snowsports are accessible to all, regardless of age, gender, physical ability or discipline. This dedication is evident in the diverse lineup of participants who attended the slopes of Castleford Snozone.
At the heart of the series is a sense of community and camaraderie that permeates every aspect of the event. Spectators and participants alike are welcomed into a vibrant and inclusive community where the spirit of sportsmanship reigns supreme. Appearances from both Summer and Winter Paralympians past and present such as Sean Rose, Ellie Challis and Shona Brownlee boosted the profile in an astounding show of support for the event.
Another record breaking turnout in the race series, amongst many of the impressive performances were a Bronze for Zahra Elton an improvement from the certificate last time. Lisa Johnston was the first 3 track skier to attend the races. Sean Rose dusted off the slalom rig and showed the experience and skill level of a successful Paralympian and Jack Silverwood continued to show an excellent standard.
