Jessica Anderson was all smiles after the Giant Slalom in Tignes as she won the British Giant Slalom title. This was her second title of the Championships, having also won the Downhill. With Daisi Daniels and Abi Bruce joining her on the podium it also gave Anderson a share of the Overall title as well. Anderson finished in third in the race Overall that was won by France's Louison Accambray with Switzerland's Annie Farget in second.
Using the same slope and same start that the men had used for their Giant Slalom the day before, Victoria Palla had been in fourth place overall (leading British racer) with Anderson in sixth after the first run before the positions all changed.

Anderson put down a good run to set the pace overall and this put the pressure on Palla. Pall came too straight into the third gate after the traverse and the frustration was audible as she skied out.
For Daniels this was a result the championships have been calling out for from her. Daniels is a very talented athlete but sometimes struggles to believe in her own ability. This time she did and produced a performance that saw her take fifth place overall and her best result for three months. It will not improve her FIS points but it will give her confidence to go for it in the Junior Championship races that follow.

Having crashed out on the first run in the Slalom from bib number 1, Abi Bruce was looking to bring a good performance into the Giant Slalom., With so many of her peers at the championships, she wanted to let her skiing do the talking. In finishing 8th overall this was a strong finish as she also placed ahead of some of the girls that have been here all week taking podiums and getting the headlines.

Lois Jackson caped a great week in taking fourth among the British racers in ninth place overall, one place behind Bruce.
Charlotte Holmes and Candace Bomberg shared the under 18 race win demonstrating that the future of the sport is bright in Britain as they placed 14th overall and joint fifth among the British racers
The Giant Slalom brought the National Championships to a close with just two more FIS races to follow, the National Junior Championships. Through consistency Lois Jackson shared the Overall with Anderson with Daniels in third.
It was great to see that the Women's race saw GB Snowsport compile a jury also comprising all Women.
