With the fastest time on both runs, Kitty-Jay Caldwell took the spoils in the Girls mini race at Stoke for the English Open sponsored by Ski Bartlett. Caldwell would have been placed in third in the boys race siuch was the quality of her performance! Harriet Scoular took second in the race with Alice Bond taking third. Both Scoular and Bond improved on the second run while Caldwell was unable to improve on her first run time. Madeleine Welsh and Ellie Vimpany rounded out the top five finishers just ahead of the leading Under 10 racer, Lowri Howie, who finished in sixth overall.
In the boys race Finlay Royle had lead after the first run but a storming second rub by Isaac Ellison and Royle appearing to not be quite on his game, let Ellison into the lead to take the race win. Royle was lucky not to fall further down the headboard as both Jasper Blackwell and William Mitchell put the lack of a time from the first run out of their heads to post good times, just mere hundredths behind Royle with Blackwell a hundredth ahead of Mitchell. John Speed took fifth overall with Xavier Poynton in sixth and the leading Under 10 racer.
