The winning run of Reece Bell may have ended at race six but day three of the South African Slalom series saw Jake Doyle win his second race and a handful of podium places and encouraging results for the new FIS racers from the British Ski Academy.
Reece Bell won the first of the two races, her fifth race win in three days in South Africa with Elsa Powell Dooley taking fourth. Zoe Karavasili, Rebecca Chastney and Isabelle Lander all made the top eight finishers.
Race two saw Bell crash out on the first run but Daisi Daniels continued her fine run of results in South Africa as she posted the fastest second run time in taking second place overall to score a 77 point result. Powell Dooley, Lander, Chastney, Karavasili and Kathryn Bailey all made the top ten finishers.
Doyle came from fourth after the first run, won by Trebilcock, to take the win by eleven hundredths from Czech Republic racer Frantisek Prikryl. Doyle had pulled back a deficit of 1.62 seconds to take the win with his stunning second run and a 58 point result. Cherry finished just over a second off the pace to take third. First year FIS racer, Diaco Abrishami, took sixth place scoring 81 FIS points in the process.
Race two for the Men saw a return to the podium for Robert Trebilcock in second with Tom Cherry in third and a brilliant fourth place for Diaco Abrishami, scoring a very respectable 72 points! Ryan Bloom in eighth was the only other British racer to make the top ten finishers.
