Hirscher storms to multiple Globe success

Describing the success of Marcel Hirscher is running out of superlatives. A 57th World Cup win by the convincing margin of 1.22 seconds left the rest of the field knowing that summer will not be an easy time for them if they are to catch up with him. Henrik Kristoffersen knew that he needed to beat Hirscher and for the Austrian to be in a worse position that fifth for the Slalom and Overall Globe to still be in contention going to Are. A stunning first run by Hirscher put the pressure on Kristoffersen and Hirscher put the hammer down on the second run to put the matter beyond doubt. Ramon Zenhauesern added to his growing reputation in taking third from having been tenth after the first run. Clement Noel took fourth and Sebastien Foss Solevag fifth.
