SNOW-CAMP ANNOUNCED AS CITY SKI CHAMPIONSHIPS’ OFFICIAL CHARITY PARTNER FOR SECOND YEAR IN A ROW

To celebrate the City Ski Championships twentieth anniversary, the event will be returning to its birthplace of Courmayeur Mont Blanc. Now in partnership with the Financial Times for the eight-year running, the City Ski Championships will deliver a packed and varied programme of high-quality skiing, racing, meals, drinks and entertainment, in truly charming and historic surrounding.

The City Ski Championships is the premier, most vibrant and fun ski weekend in the Alps. The long weekend is a perfect opportunity for London and Europe’s business & financial community to participate in friendly competition with a full itinerary of skiing, coaching and racing, lunches and dinners on and off the mountain, partying and prize-giving, laid on for the enjoyment of all levels of skiers and non-skiers alike.

For a second year in a row, Snow-Camp, the UK’s only charity using snowsports to change the lives of inner-city youth, will be City Ski Championships’ official charity partner. Due to the huge success of last year’s Team Distance Challenge, Snow-Camp will again be hosting the challenge and are encouraging everyone to enter a team of four and get involved. Each team will receive a top of the range GPS tracker and be tasked with completing the most kms as possible over a ninety-minute period.

Competitive spirit was alive and well at last year’s Championships, with the largest variety of professions and ability levels ever seen at City Ski taking to the race course. Successful team winners included Chel-Ski 2, Knight Frank, Lloyd’s One and Sandstone Communications.

Dan Charlish, Snow-Camp’s Founder said:

“To be named as the City Ski Championships’ official charity partner for a second-year running is a huge privilege for Snow-Camp. The event is one of the biggest in the snowsports calendar and its an incredible opportunity for more people to learn about our charity. We’re so excited to be hosting the Team Distance Challenge again, we’re hoping to see even more teams get involved this year”.

Amin Momen, Momentum Ski Managing Director said:

"We are thrilled to continue our support of Snow-Camp, whose constant work to provide a positive future to inner-city young people is perfectly in line with our involvement with the world of skiing."
