He’s one of the stand out names in recent Canadian alpine history, but Jan Hudec now races for a different country. Hudec broke a 20 year wait for a Canadian alpine Olympic medal, when he got bronze in the Super G in Sochi. At the start of the 2016/17 season, Hudec announced he would now ski for the Czech Republic ski team after having been absent from the World Cup tour for almost two years. This hasn’t been the first time Hudec has had to adapt to a challenging situation.
