After a year out from racing due to injury, Connie Huetter produced the run of her career to date to win the opening Women’s speed race of the 2018 FIS Audi World Cup season. After Tina Weirather and Ester Ledecka had won the training runs, talk of the town was whether Lindsey Vonn could add to her amazing tally of success in Lake Louise. Weirather backed up her impressive training runs with second place in the race itself and Mikaela Shiffrin took third for her first speed podium.
