After wining the last three Giant Slalom races, Alexis Pinturault received the plaudits he richly deserved from none other than Marcel Hirscher. Hinterstoder provided a tough hill for the racers to negotiate and Pinturault, who also won the race in Japan, posted the fastest time on three of the four Giant Slalom runs. With 22o points from the weekend, Marcel Hirscher took a giant leap towards his fifth Overall Globe, even if Pinturault took 40 points out of his lead in the GS standings.
