The popular Italian who has been part of the Fischer family since 2012 has extended his contract by a further 2 years and thus continues to be a major asset to the Austrian family-run company's strong Slalom team. ...
The Olympic champion of 2010 had to battle again and again with severe back pain and knee injuries in recent years. However, he fought his way back to the top courageously and step by step in the 14l15 season. Two second places in Kranjska Gora and Méribel and eighth place in the overall Slalom rankings rounded off a marvellous season.
Fischer Racing Director Siegi Voglreiter speaks highly of the collaboration: "The contract extension and last season's results show that we are on the right track. Together with our athletes we work all the time on new technologies and developments. Giuliano's – not too common – boot size of 46/47 was quite a challenge to begin with but thanks to our VACUUM technology we managed to find the optimum solution for him as well with a perfect boot/ski setup. This is now paying off."
