New management at Kandahar Racing

After 13 years involvement with Kandahar Racing, Georgina Morris is moving on and the role of Manager of Kandahar Racing will be taken by Matt Shepherd. Matt will also take on the role of Head Coach/Performance Director, and will be working closing with our current coaches and parents. ...

Matt grew up in Aberdeen, and after early years skiing on the Scottish Mountains he became the British and Scottish Schoolboys Champion. He went on to compete for the Scottish National Ski Team on the international FIS circuit, becoming a regular podium finisher at the British Junior Championships. After university Matt went on to become head coach of the British Ski Academy, and then joined the Army, where he held the rank of captain and was head coach/manager of the Combined Services Ski Team for many years. He competed as both a military and FIS racer right up until 2013 when he retired from the Army as a 7 times undefeated Army Downhill Champion.

Matt takes on the role of Manager of Kandahar Racing with immediate effect, but Georgina will still be in the background, acting as House Mum for the rest of this season and easing Matt into the management role.

Georgina will remain involved in British Winter sports and will be based in London and Tignes. All future enquiries about Kandahar Racing should be addressed to Matt Shepherd at or on 07725044835.
