The taster day is designed to introduce you to British Association of Snowsports instructors (B.A.S.I) pathway to certification. A combination of on snow and off slope sessions will introduce you to the B.A.S.I teaching philosophy, assesses your current level and provide feedback on what to focus on to make the grade and where you will be able to teach once qualified.
Snowsports instruction today is a real career with good earning potential. For some, it can be a full-time, long-term career, for others a great thing to do to improve your personal performance, communication and life skills.
The day will include
2 x 1 hour on snow ski clinics with the British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI) ISTD Level 4 instructors on personal performance and BASI's Central Theme.
2 x 1 hour off snow presentations including - Who and what B.A.S.I is. The B.A.S.I Pathway to certification and where you can work. Also the opportunity to ask real people who have been through or are currently going through their BASI journey.
Complementary coffee and biscuits (Lunch not included).
Free Salomon piste performance ski test centre.
Cost - £20 per person
What to bring
Suitable ski clothing - (ski and boot equipment hire is available and included).
To be keen and enthusiastic, to take on board new ideas and information.
Who can come?
You must be able to competently ski parallel, with good speed control on the main slope. You must be 16yrs old or above (no top limit).
