The Combloux CIT races also saw some strong performances from the girls. On Saturday, Britain's 1997s had some notable results. Kirsty Guest came ... 32nd from bib 44 and scored another sub-100 result in slalom. Jazmine Butcher scored a second best result, coming 39th from bib 54. Sunday was a much better day for most of the GB girls racing, with several scoring personal and season best results. Natalie Harte won the race having skied two good runs, scoring her season's best result in slalom (47.26 points). Cara Brown had a really good 2nd run, coming 5th and scoring a PB of 53.84 points. Brown's skiing in slalom has really come a long way since the summer months. Kirsty continued her good form shown in the Scottish FIS races in Chamonix at the begining of January by scoring 72.01 points (a PB) and coming 13th from bib 44! Another PB achieved in the race was by Jazmine Butcher, who scored 106.79 and finished 32nd from bib 55. Unfortunately Rachelle Rogers fell 3 gates from the end of the 1st run, but got back up, hiked and finished, coming 63rd. Rogers decided to use this opportunity to show that she can ski fast when she has a late start and went on to win the 2nd run, moving up to 25th place. All the girls did really well as the conditions weren't easy, due to fresh snowfall overnight. The organisers worked hard to keep the course in good condition throughout both runs of the men's and women's race, and worked efficiently with over 300 competitors present!
