The London Ski & Snowboard Show Kicks Off At Earl's Court!

The Telegraph Ski & Snowboard Show opened its doors yesterday at Earl's Court to a crowd of visitors eager to check out the activity, events and exhibitors.

There is plenty for the alpine fans to see with Head, Atomic and Rossignol all with stands at the show plus ... Max Baggio, Darcie Mead, Chemmy Alcott as well as Ski Cross athletes Ed Drake, Emily Sarsfield and Pam Thorburn all spending time at the British Ski and Snowboard stand. With ex racers Martin Bell and Finlay Mickel also around, there is a good feeling to the start of the season! Telemark had good representation as did the Disability Team with Tim Farr also at the show.

To give added spice to the Team BSS stand, many of the alpine and freestyle athletes attending have had to take park in a fitness test that has been set by the fitness gurus from the BSS. This is all part of their being part of the Team BSS. Even the CEO of Snowsport England took part in the standing jump, as did the editor of Racer Ready. We obviously cannot say who jumped further out of these two or whether either beat a current GB Team athlete!

The Animal WD-40 Action Sports Tour attracted a crowd to watch World Champion Trials rider Ben Savage and other exciting jump riders from MTB, Scooter and BMX!

Not your typical fashion show, the on slope stage exploded with professional break dancers decked out in the hottest winter sports looks whilst the kids were speechless after a performance by a Frozen live show.

The Mountain Talks Theatre was a packed house welcoming the cast of Frozen along with British athletes Aimee Fuller, Jamie Nicholls, James Machon, Ben Kilner, Rowan Cheshire, Chemmy Alcott and Murray Buchan to talk about the Sochi experience!

TOP THINGS TO DO THIS WEEKEND AT THE SHOW:

Be a witness at a wedding ceremony

At 2.45pm on Saturday join a host of attendees at The Ski & Snowboard Show to witness one lucky couple re-do their vows.

Earlier this year, Tim and Julie celebrated their marriage with a very personal ceremony, surrounded by their closest family and friends, in beautiful Morzine. Totally in love with Morzine, the mountains and each other, they loved having the opportunity to celebrate in exactly the way they wanted and had set their hearts on. And they are so excited to be able to do it all over again! Mr and Mrs Wells will be reaffirming their promises to one another, celebrating their marriage and the commitment they have made, during a ceremony written especially for them at the London Ski and Snowboard Show on Saturday 1st November.  Visit the Morzine Village to attend.

Learn to Ski this weekend!

If you've never set foot on a slope or you just want to brush up on skills ahead of the season, The Telegraph Ski and Snowboard Show London offer lessons for all abilities. All equipment is provided, all you need to do is wear trousers, a long sleeved top and bring some gloves and loads of enthusiasm! You don't even need to wait in a queue - you can book your ski or snowboard session on the indoor slope online before you go. Lessons start from £5.

Enjoy a free glass of wine and music!

Join chalet company Morgan Jupe for free wine tasting on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 13.30 and 15.00 and visit the Morzine Village for retro photo booths, free wine tasting, live music and DJS and the Mountain Utopia cinema. Plus visit the Virgin wine tasting bar, other apres bars and have a dance to some live music!
