Meribel has been the destination of choice for many British skiers, ever since it was founded by Scotsman Colonel Peter Lindsay back in late 1930's. Renowned worldwide for its unique location in the heart of the 3 valleys, and for its charm and high levels of quality accommodation and customer service, the resort is gearing up for the new season with a new name, and news of some exciting new initiatives and events.
Meribel Vallee has always ...attracted its fair share of families, and in a bid to improve the quality of customer service the resort offers this market sector, it has introduced a new 'famille plus' label that it has awarded to towns and villages, in the area that have undertaken a comprehensive new approach to the reception of families. This new initiative guarantees a personalized welcome, entertainment for all ages, family adapted rates and family orientated staff. Continuing with the theme of enhanced levels of customer service, the resort has also been awarded the 'Quality Tourisme TM Label' for the quality of its welcome, its service and its professionalism.
The new season will see some new additions to the hospitality offer, with several new  restaurant and hotel openings, a new eco-friendly mountain refuge and the introduction of spa treatments for kids. And to help 'spread the word' and ensure there is no excuse for anyone not to be up-to-date with the latest news, Meribel has even launched a new free app.
Highlights on the slopes this coming season will include The British International Military Championships in early February, The Delancey British Ski Championship in the last week of March and first week of April and looking further ahead, Meribel can announce that it has been chosen to host of the finals of The Alpine World Cup in 2015.
