In need of healthy competition?

Don't get cold feet, things are just hotting up in the slopes with some well-known events taking place with the Ski Club of Great Britain

The Dual Slalom in Tignes and the 3 Vallées Enduro, France, are just two more reasons why you should book a holiday to the Alps this April.

On Wednesday April 3 the Ski Club Dual Slalom, sponsored by Monarch, is set to take the slopes by storm. This free event for all ages and abilities is set to blast off at 11am, although you can pick up your bibs from 9:30am and have a go on the practise course.

Teams of four do battle to achieve the fastest time down the slalom course to win an assortment of prizes.

Or, if you fancy a different type of competition, then why not sign up for the 3 Vallées Enduro? This is the only event encompassing the world's largest ski area.Taking place on Sunday April 7, teams of three can take part in various timed races around the 3 Vallées including the Ski Club sponsored Skiercross race in the DC Park. Nearly 1,500 amateur snowsports enthusiasts take part each year, showing off the accessibility of the 3 Vallées.

Ski Club members are entitled to an entry fee of £10/12€ instead of 17€. Tickets can be purchased through the Ski Club website in the online shop. The cost includes the entry fee, breakfast and a buffet-style lunch where there'll be a designated Ski Club table to meet other members.

Plus, a competition is now running on the Ski Club website, which gives two lucky members the chance to win a place in the Enduro, along with a lift pass provided by the 3 Vallées. The prize includes a week's accommodation for two at Fish & Pips on a chalet board basis, resort transfers and flights with Monarch airlines.*
