It has been an amazing few seasons for 32 year old Jasmin Taylor as she has made herself a name to be recognised on the Telemark World Cup. From her first World Cup race wins in 2018 (seven years after her debut on the World Cup) to winning discipline and Overall Globes in 2024 and 2025, Jasmin has come a long way from being a trainee with the British Ski Academy in Les Houches. The 2026 - 2027 season will see another change to the package she takes to the hills. With the help of Ski Bartlett and Atomic UK, this season sees her move to the Austrian brand.
Making sure that you are on the best package for you is a key ingredient for every racer. Testing, trying different set ups until you are happy is continual.Taylor had spent time during her alpine racing career on Atomic skis so the marque is not a completely new step into the unknown.
After nine successful years on Blossom skis, last season Taylor felt the need to try something new. Nothing went wrong with the relationship with Blossom, it was just she needed a new challenge and a new outlook as she tries to recapture her Globes from the 2025 season. At the end of last season she tried various set ups and came across some Atomic skis and the feeling felt good.
Next it was how to get hold of the skis.
Telemark skis themselves are not different to alpine skis; she uses shorter skis and a different radius than she would for an alpine race ski. The main difference is in the plates and obviously the binding. What Taylor is looking to buy into is the extensive race knowledge that the brand has.
Taylor herself, has a super impressive array of success on the World Cup: 80 World Cup podiums, 22 victories (15 of them in the last three seasons) and six World Championship medals. In the last two seasons alone, she has been in the top three world rankings across all disciplines; the Sprint, Classic and Parallel Sprint.
The switch to Atomic has seen Ski Bartlett, the leading retail supporter of British Skiing over the last fifty years, work together with the Atomic UK arm to make the project happen. Discussions between Bartlett’s and Atomic over the summer have enabled Taylor to get the support of the brand as well as right models, in terms of length and make up.
For Atomic, a brand long associated with competitive winter sport, the reasons for getting involved are simple. Tim Metcalfe, Brand Manager for Atomic UK explains:

It feels like a full circle moment, returning to the brand where it all began and to do it with Ski Bartlett who have been there from the beginning (and for so many other British skiers too) it just means so much.
I am in the final stages of my career, I am extremely grateful to Blossom for all the years of support but just felt I needed a change, as many racers, at a point, do. I am so excited to take on this new challenge, and cannot thank Ski Bartlett – Terry and Sally, everyone involved enough for this opportunity.
In what will be her fifteenth season racing on the World Cup. She still gets the buzz from telemark skiing: the freedom of the heel as you fly down the hill. Jaz explains the thrill herself:
There’s nothing like it, and just so much to master – whether you’re working on your skiing, jumping or skating, there is always so much to learn and I love it. Looking back at these old photos, where I competed in my first snow race hosted by another supporter, the Ladies Ski Club, just reminds me of how much skiing has brought to my life and I am so grateful to everyone for all the support, and making it possible.
Next season will see Taylor looking to add more World Championship medals to her bronze medals from 2023 and 2025 in the Classic. A full World Cup season is scheduled as well as the Word Championship in Aal, Norway.
