Joshua Sturm misses the start of the season

Austrian Joshua Sturm has suffered a partial rupture of the semimembranosus muscle, a muscle in the back of the thigh, while training at home. The 23-year-old technical specialist will be out for around six weeks and will therefore miss the first World Cup race in Sölden.

“The injury is of course bitter and I would have liked to have started in Sölden. I will start rehab and conditioning training this week and am confident that a start in Levi is within the realm of possibility,” said Sturm.
