Encouraging sections from Guest in Courchevel

While the end result might not have been what the fans of Charlie Guest hoped for, Guest felt there was a lot to be encouraged with from the last week including the World Cup race in Courchevel. Guest did not make the cut after the first run but a top thirty split and two top ten results in the Europa Cup races recently have seen the smile return after a tough start to the season.

Guest placed 46th after the first run in Courchevel as she looked to battle her way back into the top 60 in the World rankings. A top thirty result would have been a great way to end the pre Christmas section and given her a massive boost before heading to Lienz for the last race of the year. Coming after two top ten results on the Europa Cup tour recently in Mayrhofen (8TH) and Ahrntal (7th), Guest came into the Courchevel stop with more confidence.

With Guest having dropped out of the top 60, this meant no start for either Vici Palla or Reece Bell, two recent British racers tp have competed on the World Cup in Slalom.

Guest explained after the run in Courchevel; "There were some great sections and glimmers of my ability which is obviously super encouraging. to be honest, after the confidence that I have been building through the Europa Cup races, I feel like I have some good feelings coming back bt there were far too many errors this evening and it all got away from me."

Guest will now start working towards Lienz.
