Ambition Championships end with smiles galore

The 2022 Ambition Children's Championships ended on a real high with the fourth race completed with some great racing on show. Harry Black produced the performance of the day in wining the Under 16 boys race by almost four and half seconds!

Daniel Philips and Augustin Bozzetto joined Black on the podium in the Under 16 race while Ryan Faber backed up his performances from the week in taking the Under 14 race win overall ahead of Harrison Adkins and Adam Orzel in third. Faber and Adkins finished in impressive fifth and sixth overall position. Callum Hunter had squeezed onto the podium in the second run but the combined time meant that he finished in fourth with Orzel taking third.

Emily Turner took the Under 16 race win after a stunning first run that meant Hannah Skinner had to raise her game for the second run. Ffion Lewis took third place overall.

Lucy Howeson took the Overall Under 14 race win ahead of Isabella Sullivan and Amelia Pietrzak. Amber Griffin took third on the first run before Alice Beveridge raised her game on the second run to take third but it was Pietrzak who took third on the combined time.

Ambition took the team award ahead of Team Evolution and Precise Racing taking second and third.

In the lead up to the races the problems of Covid gave Ambition and their boss a multitude of problems in trying to get the races run. Yet again they have proved, like at the races they organised in Santa Catarina, where there is a will there is a way. Ski racing is about getting things done and this is what they have done.

Well oner to all the racers and officials in getting the races run smoothly and safely in trying times!

Next up for the British racers are the British Ski Academy races in Pila, Italy!

Game on!
