More companies join the Cortina 2021 World Championship project

The next FIS Alpine World Ski Championships, scheduled to be held in Cortina d’Ampezzo from 7 to 21 February 2021, are just around the corner and everything is ready for this international event to be hosted at the foot of Tofane.

Despite the current difficult situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, new sponsors and partners have joined the World Championship project – a multi-year project involving many companies that have decided to invest in the future of the local community through successful projects as well as branding, communication, engagement and business activities, being aware of the fact that supporting major events can make a difference in helping revive the local area and enhance the brands themselves.

This combination of values and activities has succeeded in creating a virtuous circle of growth, bringing positive energy and opening up new business and communication opportunities in the local area. Eleven companies have decided to team up with Cortina 2021 in the last few weeks, sharing the values of the World Championship project and pooling their skills, resources and energy.

The new Cortina 2021 Technical Partners are: Blue Valley (Val Dogà, Venetian lagoon) with its CO2 offsetting project thanks to the Carbon Capture and Storage technology (CCS) using the lagoon’s wetlands which act as a natural carbon sink by storing carbon in plants and soil instead of releasing it into the atmosphere; Algeco, leader of turnkey modular space and storage solutions for major events; Bus For Fun, an innovative mobility provider dedicated to national and international events; Autovia, a company specialising in car and van rental; PricewaterhouseCoopers, a world leader in consulting and audit solutions. Every partner offers its services and expertise to help organise the World Championships and support Fondazione Cortina 2021 in the realisation of this project at a time when flexibility, resilience and adaptability are required more than ever.

The new Regional Supporters who teamed up with Fondazione Cortina 2021 in the last few weeks are: Ecozema, a company based in the province of Vicenza that will provide 100% compostable, biodegradable crockery, made from renewable sources; Novamont, a Novara-based company, international leader in the bioplastics sector; Bulkysoft, a Tuscan firm specialising in luxury hygiene solutions; Parkforfun, a Venice-based company, specialising in the management of parking areas for large events; Franco Clò, a company based in the province of Belluno specialising in the rental of heavy machinery such as machinery for construction sites and installations; WiWell (brand of the Pordenone-based company Wippy) which created a film to sanitise air and surfaces without side effects.
