Tilley makes it five World Cup points scores in a season with 23rd in Ofterschwang

Alex Tilley had a well stated goal for the 2017 - 2018 World Cup season and that was to qualify for the World Cup finals in Are at the end of the season. The Olympics were part of the plan for the season but the Delancey British Alpine Ski Team member was keen to make her mark and qualify for the final race of the Giant Slalom World Cup season. Tilley admitted that she had left herself a lot to do in just making the top 30 and so getting a start on the second run and recovered a lot to fight her way up to 23rd. With only a small mathematical chance of making her goal a reality, Tilley was left in 28th, forty points from 25th spot in the season long rankings and a ticket to Are.
