It is win number 80 for Vonn

Garmisch Partenkirchen is not the greatest or easiest slope for Lindsey Vonn but the American produced the goods when it mattered to win the 80th World Cup race of her career. In testing conditions that had seen both training run days cancelled due to the weather conditions, a full length training run followed a shortened run for the race. The race was scheduled to be a new sprint format downhill but with time pressing the decision was taken to run a single run with the full length race run to take place on the Sunday. Sofia Goggia with Connie Huetter in third, Breezy Johnson took a career best fourth with Anna Veith coming fifth.
