It was a shortened course designed to protect the iconic run in to the finish but the final training run saw Matteo Marsaglia posted the fastest time from bib number 54. France’s Brice Roger was just a hundredth behind him with Vincent Kriechmayr giving hope for the Austrian Team of a home win on Saturday with the third fastest time from an early bib of 3. American Jared Goldberg was fourth fastest with another young Austrian, Daniel Danklmaier just 0.33 behind the fastest time of the day.
