Mikaela Shiffrin knew that she had to win the last regular season Giant Slalom of the season to harbour any hopes of catching Tessa Worley for the Giant Slalom Globe. When Worley posted an impressive first run time, Shiffrin knew what was required and took the lead from the French racer. On the second run the tables were turned slightly as Worley knew she had to post a super impressive run to give the American something to aim at. When Worley slightly over cooked her run and ended up behind Federica Brignone, it was advantage Shiffrin and she duly wrapped up the race win, her 29th career win, with Brignone second and Worley third.
