Dave Ryding has caught the attention of the ski racing public and his profile will have risen even further after the first run in the World Championship Slalom. Ryding came down into first but was hit by an Austrian triple whammy to place fourth. Marcel Hirscher leads the race from Marco Schwarz and Michael Matt.
