Shiffrin joins the greats with victory in the Downhill at Lake Louise

Mikaela Shiffrin has won in Slalom, Giant Slalom and has now added victory in Downhill to her success story. After the race was delayed for three hours due to a power cut that prohibited the lifts working let alone coverage of the race by television, Shiffrin produced a performance that not only saw her win her first Downhill but also take the lead in the World Cup Downhill standings - she was already ahead in the Overall! Viktoria Rebensburg took second and another slalom racer, Michelle Gisin from Switzerland came down to take third place ahead of Connie Huetter.
