It is a measure of how far Dave Ryding has come in that twelfth place was almost a disappointment. Having tasted top ten results twice already this season, Ryding is eager and keen for more. Ninth place after the first run, his 45th World Cup race resulted in a finish of twelfth place. “If you had offered me twelfth at the beginning of the day, 22 more points would have nice and I would have taken it,” Ryding explained after the race, won by Henrik Kristoffersen with Marcel Hirscher taking second and Felix Neureuther third.
