Shock win for Hintermann in Wengen Alpine Combined

Niels Hintermann of Switzerland got his first World Cup win in front of a home crowd at the Wengen Alpine Combined by beating France’s Maxence Muzaton by 0.26 seconds, with Frederic Berthold of Austria third. The downhill race had relentless heavy snow meaning the later racers lost staggering amounts of time whilst on course.
