Shiffrin praises Hansdotter on Crystal Globe

Talking after the last World Cup slalom of the regular season in Jasna, Mikaela Shiffrin was full of praise for the new Slalom World Cup Champion, Frida Hansdotter:

"I have had three months now to think about this. I knew this was going to happen, when I got injured, and knowing the timeline, I knew I couldn't get back. I got angry but after a while I had time to think about it. I honestly believe that Frida deserves it. It is not that I think I don't deserve it, but obviously everybody can see her performance in the last few years. I don't think any more confirmation is needed. She won it fair and square."

Looking forward to the new season, Shiffrin added: "Next year is going to be tough. We are going to Korea, and Sweden and the USA and here and there. It is going to be tiring, but it's cool to go to these new places (like Jasna). It is part of the special thing about this sport, and this job. We get to travel and see all these new resorts."
