Tilley demonstrates her Downhill skills before Brown gains upper hand

The field may have been very small for a race, just ten girls went into the start gate, but the competition at the top of the field was intriguing for the future of the sport. Cara Brown is a World Cup Super G racer and Alex Tilley has been setting the World Cup alight in Giant Slalom. The two girls are good friends off the slopes but down the course, this was a chance for both to push the other and see who would claim the spoils. For years the speed races were dominated by Chemmy Alcott but since her retirement, it has been a struggle to see who would take up the mantel. 2016 sees encouragement for the future with the performances of both Tilley and Brown but also some of the younger girls coming through the system at the moment.
