Hot on the heels of the Para Snow Ball, Disability Snowsport UK is excited to announce the launch of our next fundraising appeal. DSUK are hoping to raise £15,000 to run one of their ski schools for a year. The success of the campaign relies on wide circulation, thus attracting as many pledgers as possible. ...Â

At the heart of the crowdfunding appeal is the desire to increase opportunities, fitness, mobility, freedom, social interaction, independence and skills of people with disabilities, and to identify and nurture the abilities of young potential athletes.
But, they currently have a funding shortfall for ski schools of at least £50,000.
DSUK relies on the support of donors to ensure that people with disabilities are not excluded from snowsport. With the money raised, they provide therapeutic, life-enhancing and exciting activities for individuals and groups who require adaptive equipment and special instruction and support. Their work takes many forms, such as dedicated adaptive snowsports schools, overseas activity weeks, a schools and youth programme, thirteen local groups operating regularly across the UK and the provision of training for specialist instructors and volunteers. Additionally, they have an elite programme in the form of the British Disabled Ski Team (BDST) through which they identify talented athletes who have the potential to compete in the Paralympic Games.
To reach their target, they need your help. Crowdfunder.co.uk is an 'all or nothing' platform - they need to raise 100% of our target to be successful and receive the monies pledged. As such, would greatly appreciate if you could spread the word of our Crowdfunder Campaign to your contacts, via your social media sites, and, most importantly, consider pledging for one of our rewards. We will be continually advertising the Campaign on our Twitter account: @dsuksnowsport and Facebook pages. The wide circulation of our Campaign is vital if we are to be successful in reaching our £15,000 target.
Please also do consider pledging as an individual, every little helps!
