Charlie Raposo has posted the best result so far for the Delancey British Alpine Ski Team at the 2015 Alpine World Junior Championships in Hafjell, Norway. Raposo came an excellent 17th place yesterday in the Men's GS, but unfortunately Paul Henderson and Jack Gower both DNF'd - Paul DNF in the 1st run and Jack in the 2nd - and Max Baggio did not start the second run. For the women, Cara Brown finished 38th in the GS, with Alice MacAulay in 52nd. Both Darcie Mead and Anna Henderson DNF in the first run. Today it is the Men and Women's Slalom. Following her bronze medal at the recent Telemark World Championships in Steamboat Springs, Jasmin Taylor took 5th place in the Sprint at the World Cup in Thyon, Switzerland and 10th place in the Classic. James French had the best men's result, finishing 17th in the Classic and 21st in the Sprint. Fred Thomas was 23rd in the Sprint and Jasper Taylor 30th in the Classic.
At the Cross Country World Cup in Lahti, Finland, Andrew Musgrave came 40th in yesterday's 15km Classic, improving on his 46th place in Saturday's Freestyle Sprint. Teammate Andrew Young took 69th place in both races. They will now both compete in the City Sprint in Drammen in Norway on Thursday - a classic Sprint race around the city church.
