Ryding posts new career best result in Val d'Isere

With the World Cup having started almost six weeks ago in Soelden, the Men's Slalom was the last of the disciplines to start. Starting the race with bib 28 yet ranked 31 on the all-important World Cup Start List (WCSL), Dave Ryding was keen to get his World Cup season off to a good start. Tied in a three-way tie for twentieth after the first run but with a group of racers all closely tied behind him, Ryding delivered on the second run to take 12th place overall. Henrik Kristoffersen took the win ahead of Marcel Hirscher and Felix Neureuther taking third.
