British Ski and Snowboard are pleased to announce the British team selected for the Alpine World Ski Championships in Vail Beaver Creek, which takes place from 2nd - 15th February 2015. ...Â
With just 17 days to go until the Championships begins, the selected athletes will be faced with competing in one of the largest, most talented athlete fields in the world, on a mountain that has played host to the Alpine World Championships twice before, 1989 and 1999.
After a successful start to the season on the Nor-Am circuit, Jack Gower will have a busy Championships schedule, competing in the Men's Downhill, Super G, GS and Alpine Combined. The Men's races will also see Charlie Raposo and Jai Geyer both competing in Slalom and GS. Following on from fantastic results on the World Cup and Europa Cup circuit, Delancey Alpine athlete Dave Ryding will compete in the Slalom on the last day of the Championships.
For the British ladies, Alex Tilley will compete in both Slalom and GS, and it is hoped she will be joined by Charlie Guest who is recovering well from her accident in November. Alex Tilley will be hoping to make an impact at the Championships after a great season so far, topping the podiums in North America on the Nor-Am circuit.

A number of junior athletes also made the selection criteria for this event, but decided to focus on the Alpine World Junior Championships in Hafjell, 5th - 14th March 2015. We wish them all the best as their season progresses.
