2014 OLYMPIC DOWNHILL CHAMPION, MATTHIAS MAYER STAYS WITH HEAD

HEAD are delighted to announce that the 2014 Winter Olympic Downhill Champion from Sochi, Matthias Mayer, has renewed his agreement with HEAD. Mayer winner also of the World Cup Downhill in Kvitfjell at the end of last season, has signed for another two years and will use skis, boots and bindings from HEAD. ... 

Mayer said about the decision to renew his agreement: “HEAD have supported me for over ten years; since the material, service and communication are always perfect, I'm looking forward to the coming years.”

Rainer Salzgeber, the Racing Manager for the HEAD World Cup Rebels added: “After many years of cooperation culminating in the Olympic victory and his first World Cup success, I am particularly pleased to extend this contract and look to an exciting and successful future with Matthias.”

Since making his World Cup debut in Sestriere in 2009, Mayer has raced in Downhill, Super G, Giant Slalom and Super Combined. Alongside his first World Cup win in Downhill, Mayer has also been on the podium in Downhill and Super G and has scored World Cup points in both Giant Slalom and Super Combined.
