Toby Case and Nadine Hugec were top of the crop in the U12s in Gloucester, whilst Jack Upton and Jolie Hoffman-Little stole the show in the U10s.
The U12s event was the curtain raiser of the All England weekend, with girls and boys across the dry slope scene competing for the title of best young skier. 30 rising racers of artificial skiing battled it out through two runs of stubby courses, with the fastest ... Â run to count.
Aldershot's Case got a impressive time of 19:58 which was the fastest time of the day, ahead of Pendle's Robert Holmes who finished with a 20:31. After a massive improvement in his second run Norfolk's Joseph Thompson grabbed 3rd in the U12s after getting a 20.45.
BSA's Hugec put down a great run of 22:32 to claim 1st in the U12s, whilst Eva Pascoe of Plymouth wasn't far behind with a 22:61. Pendle's Eleanor Eaves rounded out the podium with a time of 24:03.
There was a very impressive winning time in the U10s boys as Midlands' Upton skied a 20:50. Norfolk's Alexander Ogden finished second with a time of 24:14, whilst Chatham's Ryan Bunton finished third with a 25:78.
A home win was a great result for Gloucester's Hoffman-Little who got a fastest time of 26:00. Another young Pendle racer Charlotte Holmes got a 26.68 to grab second, ahead of Torquay's Isla McColl who got a 26.75.
Other notable performances came from Steffan Hodson and Nicholas Bingham who just missed out on a podium place in a highly competitive U12s boy group.
After the mess of the stubbies race last year, this was the first time the All England had completed a stubbies race at the Championships, Â it looks as though it here to stay after the great skiing on show this year.
